Tuesday, August 8, 2023, for their 3rd and last pool match of the U-15 men's championship of the Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) our young Grenadiers U-15 in the Group B (league A), after their victories : Sunday [3-1] against Cuba https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-40195-haiti-flash-our-grenadiers-crush-cuba-[3-1]-concacaf-ligue-a-u15-championship.html , and Monday against Qatar [1-0] https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-40203-haiti-flash-victory-against-qatar-[1-0]-our-grenadiers-u-15-qualified-for-the-second-round.html , faced the United States, first in Group B, on the lawn of the San Cristóbal Pan-American Stadium in the Dominican Republic.

As part of the last group match, our Grenadiers U-15 lost to the Americans who dominated the game, being humiliated [0-3] on a difficult pitch in San Cristobal due to the frequent rains. The Americans scored their 3rd consecutive victory of this Group phase.

Despite some missed opportunities from our young Grenadiers, especially after a missed penalty in the first period the Americans opened the score [0-1] at 24' and took the lead over our players, scoring 2 more goals to seal their victory despite Haiti's attempts...

Although defeated, our Grenadiers #2 of Group B remain qualified for the quarter-finals where they will face the leader of Group C, Canada on Thursday August 10 at the Felix Sanchez stadium in Santo Domingo.

Convinced by the players who won the victory against Qatar (1-0) the day before, coach Eddy César announced a starting lineup with the same players.
